This Privacy Policy explains how Bridal Crate collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS mobile application and services. We are committed to ensuring your privacy and the security of your data.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a secure peer-to-peer marketplace, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and profile details. If you choose to register using third-party Single Sign-On (SSO) providers like Apple or Google, we collect the email address and basic profile information authorized by those services.
• Transaction & Location Data: We record the details of items bought and sold, prices, and timestamps to maintain a reliable marketplace. To provide core app functionality—such as showing you relevant local listings within a specific radius or state—we capture your device's location at the time you open or refresh the app. We also use this point-in-time location to verify in-person "Tap to Pay" transactions. Because location is essential to these core features, granting "Allow While Using App" location permission is required to use Bridal Crate. We do not continuously track your location in the background, nor do we collect or store a history of your physical whereabouts.
• Device, Log & Identifier Data: When you access the platform, our cloud infrastructure automatically records standard log data and device identifiers. This may include your device’s operating system version, unique device tokens (used for push notifications), and basic app performance diagnostics or crash reports. We may also utilize third-party analytics tools and Software Development Kits (SDKs) to understand how users interact with the platform and to improve overall app performance.
• User Content & Communications: We collect the photos, item descriptions, and portfolio assets you choose to upload to the platform. Additionally, when you communicate with other users or vendors through our in-app chat feature, we collect and securely store the text of those messages to facilitate your transactions and monitor for fraud.
• Public Marketplace Visibility: Because Bridal Crate is a peer-to-peer venue, any information you post to a public item listing, community feed, or vendor directory profile (including your profile name, location text, portfolio imagery, and listing data) will be visible to other users of the platform to facilitate marketplace discovery and transactions.
• Website Cookies: While our iOS application strictly limits cross-app tracking, if you visit our public-facing landing domain (such as to read these policies or find our App Store link), we may use standard cookies or similar web tracking technologies to analyze site traffic and ensure website functionality.

2. Payment Processing and "Tap to Pay on iPhone"

We do not collect, store, or process raw credit card numbers, bank account details, or NFC data on our servers.

All financial transactions, including those utilizing the Tap to Pay on iPhone feature, are processed securely through our third-party payment partner, Stripe. When using Tap to Pay, your payment data is encrypted by Apple's secure hardware and sent directly to Stripe. We only receive a secure token confirming the success or failure of the transaction.

3. Third-Party Services (Stripe Connect)

If you choose to sell items on our platform, you will be onboarded as a merchant via Stripe Connect. During this process, Stripe will collect sensitive KYC (Know Your Customer) information directly from you, such as your legal identity, tax information, and bank routing details for payouts. Mapping & Geocoding Services: To calculate local search radiuses and facilitate local marketplace feeds, Bridal Crate may utilize third-party mapping APIs (such as Apple Maps or Google Maps). Your use of these specific location-based features is subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those mapping service providers.

Infrastructure Service Providers: We may share your personal data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform, managing our cloud hosting infrastructure (such as database storage), and deploying transactional SMS or push notifications. These infrastructure partners are strictly authorized to use your data only as necessary to provide these technical backend services to Bridal Crate and are contractually bound to maintain its absolute confidentiality.

Legal Obligations & Law Enforcement: We reserve the right to access, preserve, and disclose your personal information if we strongly believe doing so is required to comply with a law, subpoena, court order, or formal law enforcement request. We may also share data to enforce our Terms of Service, investigate suspected fraud, or protect the safety, rights, and physical property of Bridal Crate Market LLC, our users, or the general public.

Business Transfers: If Bridal Crate Market LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of company assets, your personal information may be transferred or sold as part of that transaction. We will notify users via our platform of any such change in ownership or data control.

We use the data we collect to:

• Facilitate secure peer-to-peer transactions between buyers and sellers.
• Monitor platform activity to detect fraudulent behavior, enforce our terms, and maintain a safe community environment.

5. Data Storage, Backups, and Retention

Your data is securely stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure, protected by robust security measures including encryption both in transit and at rest. To ensure platform reliability and prevent data loss, we conduct routine, secure backups of our marketplace database. We retain your active account data for as long as your account remains open. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and personal data at any time via the "Delete Account" feature within the app settings. Please note that while your active profile will be removed immediately, it may take up to 90 days for your personal data to be fully purged from our secure, automated disaster-recovery backups.

Seller Account Deletion & Financial Records: If you are a seller with an active Stripe Connect balance or pending payouts, you must allow all remaining funds to clear to your linked bank account before deleting your account. Upon account deletion, you will lose immediate access to the Bridal Crate dashboard to view historical transaction details. However, since your Bridal Crate profile has been deleted, your transaction history remains securely managed by our payment processor. You can access your financial dashboard, update bank details, and retrieve tax forms directly at connect.stripe.com/express_login.

Please note that certain transaction records and historical database backups may be retained temporarily for legal, dispute resolution, and tax compliance purposes as required by law.

International Data Transfers: Bridal Crate Market LLC is based in the United States, and our cloud infrastructure is hosted on US servers. If you access the platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your home jurisdiction. By using Bridal Crate, you consent to this transfer.

6. SMS & Mobile Communications

Bridal Crate Market LLC collects and processes mobile phone numbers strictly via our secure, closed-environment iOS application registration process. Mobile numbers are never acquired or harvested through this public-facing landing domain. Automated SMS programmatic dispatches are restricted exclusively to critical business functions: transactional profile validations, structural security triggers, and immediate account or listing moderation alerts (e.g., when an item listing is flagged for administrative review). Messaging frequencies dynamically fluctuate based on active marketplace interactions. Standard carrier text and data rates may apply. Registered users may terminate text communications at any time by transmitting STOP, or request configuration guidelines by transmitting HELP. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Push Notifications: With your explicit consent, we may send push notifications to your iOS device to provide marketplace updates, chat alerts, and transaction confirmations. You can opt out or modify these notifications at any time by adjusting the notifications settings directly within your iOS device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Bridal Crate is strictly intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 18). If we discover that a minor has created an account and provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete the information and permanently terminate the account.

8. Your Privacy Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific legal rights regarding your personal data (such as under the California Consumer Privacy Act). Bridal Crate extends the following core privacy rights to all users:

• Right to Access & Export: You may request a copy of the personal data we currently hold about you by contacting our support team.
• Right to Rectification: You can update, correct, or amend your profile and account information directly within the app settings at any time.
• Right to Deletion: As outlined in Section 5, you maintain the right to permanently delete your account and personal data from our active databases.
• No Cross-App Tracking & No Data Selling: Bridal Crate does not sell your personal data to data brokers. Furthermore, we do not track your activity across third-party apps and websites for targeted advertising purposes.
• "Do Not Track" Signals: Some web browsers have a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. Because there is currently no universally recognized industry standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any major changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and providing a notice within the app.
